The school location changed to a different campus from Std I to IV. That meant Prerna went to a different campus for the next 4 years. Not the same as Harshali and I.
I was in Std X and my sister in Std I, 9 years apart. I was beginning the end of my school journey and Prerna was getting started!

This is the time her flight began, its been magical here on.
Prerna found more and more opportunities in school and we slowly started realising we have a rockstar amongst us.
Prerna won the first prize in school and second in Dhule district in Speed Maths Contest.
Her first medal at 6 years of age!

I was very hard on her on the evening before this test. She was making silly mistakes while solving the problems, and I was being very impatient.
It was wrong on my part and unnecessary to be honest.
I can still see her wiping her big tears rolling down from her tiny face and continuing her attempts to solve the questions. She didn’t run away or complain. She sat with the tough task master and got the job done anyway.
It has never happened again. I wasn’t tough on her for preparation for any exam ever after this, but this one time is a big regret that I carry with me.
I don’t remember her being upset with me about this. But I was very upset, it didn’t feel right.

After she won the medal, Prerna did realise at an early age that she had the potential to perform well in these extra curicular exams/activities.
She took them seriously going forward, and prepared well on her own for upcoming opportunities like this.
In Std I as well, Prerna won the first prize in Handwriting Competition –

She participated in Sports Day in school that year. For school annual function, our school would have Sports Day and Parents Day in alternate years.

Years later, while going through the albums, I remember I jokingly teased her about this picture.
I told her I think she wasn’t doing the correct step, she defended her position well and rightly convinced me that it was not the case.
She also stood first in class throughout the academic year.
And trust me, this was just the beginning!
